Jolly Phonics Red Readers – Our World Level 1 (Precursive, British English)

• A set of 6 decodable nonfiction readers written for beginners in the Jolly Phonics programme. They form the Level 1 Our World series (Red level) and use a carefully controlled vocabulary so new readers can decode most words based on taught letter sounds.
• Text includes only fully decodable regular words made from the 42 main phonics sounds, plus a small number of tricky words that aren’t completely decodable yet; these are shown on the inside front cover for quick practice.
• Silent letters in words (e.g., the b in lamb) are printed in faint type to help reduce confusion while reading.
• Each book features comprehension questions and discussion prompts at the end to help children understand what they’ve read, not just decode the text.
• Designed to support early reading confidence and fluency as children begin applying phonics skills to real text.
